Welcome to KanKouran’s Weekly Community Dance and Drum Classes for Adults, Teens, and Children!

KanKouran’s weekly classes provide instruction in the traditional dance styles of select West African cultural groups. Classes include a short warm-up, a breakdown of the dance steps, and the execution of the movements down the floor accompanied by the drums. Because classes are held on an ongoing basis, you are welcome to join us at any time. Registration is not required, and you may pay in advance or at the door. Our children’s dance and drum classes are only offered on Saturdays. We do not have an age limit for children. However, they should be able to take the class without being accompanied by a parent. We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor.

Wednesdays 7:30pm – 9pm
Adult Dance
$15 General Adult Admission ($12 Students with ID)

Saturdays 11am – 12pm
Children’s Drum
$12 General Admission

Saturdays 12:15pm – 1pm
Children’s Dance (4-12yrs)
$12 General Admission

Saturdays 1pm – 1:45pm

Teen Dance (13+)

$12 General Admission

Saturdays 1:45pm – 3:15pm
Adult Dance
$15 General Adult Admission ($12 Students with ID)

Photography Waiver

By attending KanKouran community classes, you grant KanKouran, its representatives, and employees the right to photograph you while participating in class. KanKouran may use such photographs with or without your name and for any lawful purpose, including publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.
